Day 40 of 40 day fast

Yay! It’s over!

Over these 40 days, as representatives of the Body of Christ, we have dug out some ungodly foundations, looked at ourselves and the Body of Christ, and built up a wall of prayer around our nation regarding this issue of abortion.

This is just a beginning!!

There is so much more prayer that needs to be ploughed into this issue. We must keep on the offensive, keep fighting the battles and choose to press on. The war is not finished until the enemy surrenders, the land is taken, the captives set free, the law changed, the abortion clinics closed, and the value God puts on life is how NZers also view life.

After these 40 days the going may get even tougher as satan rallies his troops to fight back.

Remember: when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Let’s declare together. Lord we thank You for these 40 days. As we have fasted, prayed and sought Your face we thank You that You have heard us. We now offer all our worship, intercession, confession, repentance, even the unspoken intent of our hearts, to You, that You might outwork these according to Your divine plans and purposes regarding the issue of abortion in NZ, for Your intended breakthrough in Your perfect timing.

We pray - Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We choose to honour the sanctity of life from the moment of conception.

We ask You Jesus, our Intercessor and our Victorious Deliverer, to deal with the spirit of murder coming through abortion here in NZ. We ask that ‘life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows’ (John 10:9-10 AMP) be loosed over our nation.

On this 40th day we return to the lawmakers in NZ, Biblical revelation, insight, and understanding concerning this issue of abortion. We declare over the lawmakers: “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:28)

Through our prayers and intercession these 40 days, may the peoples of NZ understand and follow Your ways; and through Your righteousness in us, we open the gates to Your presence and ask You to inhabit our nation. We choose to walk in the favour of God and enjoy the fullness of life and joy which is the promise of God and our destiny.

Today, as the Body of Christ, in corporate humility, we choose to walk in our God-given authority to cleanse the land and establish the fullness of the Kingdom of God with lasting reformation and transformation into every sphere of community life here in NZ; may this process not be aborted in any way or at any stage.

Today we announce full time to the issue of abortion in NZ.

Today all systems and structures supporting abortion in NZ will begin to be dismantled.

On this 40th day we open the gates in our nation o that the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty in battle may come in; the Lord Almighty - He is the King of glory! (Ps 24)
