Briefly: “one of the key shifts in our thinking away from theism (God is the Creator and ruler of the universe) to humanistic naturalism occurred as a result of the teaching of evolution and that we are close cousins to apes. Around late 1700’s a group, including the grandfather of Charles Darwin, met in England and discussed their socialistic aims. The Bible was the main obstacle. They set out to discredit the Bible, to prove that God wasn’t the Creator, therefore none of His laws were in effect either. Karl Marx and Adolf Hitler bought into their thinking with the resulting murder of millions during the Holocaust and under Communism.

Social Darwinism evolved into humanism and has become like a sociological computer virus that has destroyed the fabric of societies across the face of the earth. They have set out to educate nations through the public educational system and then to disciple countries into their belief systems. Changing the USA began with a document called the Humanist Manifesto, in 1933. Humanist Manifesto 2 followed in 1973 and the emphasis shifted from religious humanism to secular humanism. The did not wish to prohibit in any way sexual behaviour between consenting adults. They included the right to abortion. Moral education, prayers, and Bible reading in USA schools ceased. Through humanism God’s laws are no longer ultimate. Humanity has become king. (Reformation Manifesto by Cindy Jacobs)

Let’s pray together: Lord we confess that, as individuals and as a nation, we have been brainwashed by many different ‘isms’, especially humanism. We confess that as humanists have risen up with their agenda and educated our whole nation, the Church has shrunk back and her influence has continued to decrease, and her teachings are mocked. We have lost our sense of identity and worth as we have seen ourselves through the teachings of evolution and not through Your eyes.

We confess that humanity, with all our debased thinking and desires, has become king of the universe. We have done away with Your laws and made our own without thought to You. We have made wrong practices legal on earth, including the practice of abortion, but they are not legal in heaven. We acknowledge that as a result of accepting unbiblical laws we are suffering all sorts of consequences and effects and that most people in this nation would not trace these back to abortion.

Lord, we are sorry for these sins. Today we acknowledge the higher court of Heaven and that You are the ultimate Judge and Lawgiver and that You have absolutes. You are the King who has made the laws of Your Kingdom. Today we place You in this highest place as King over NZ, as the ultimate Judge and Lawgiver. We ask that, as we turn to You, that You intervene; turn our nation back to Your laws and commandments and that these would be the foundation of every arena of life in NZ, especially in our Government.

We ask that, as we align ourselves to You that You realign the Body of Christ with You and teach us how to teach the nation of NZ the wisdom of Your laws, Your standards of righteousness and justice.

Spend time worshipping this King and exalting Him over NZ.
