“Justice is not simply a legal system, but rather it is a means by which we can stand with God on behalf of His children against those that would seek their harm.
True justice, godly justice, seeks not to punish but to heal. ”Seek justice, encourage the oppressed.“ (Is 1:17) Encouraging the oppressed (those who have been affected by abortion in one way or another), is as much an aspect of justice as the upholding of any rules. We are to emulate Jesus. Justice is an important aspect of the Kingdom of God.
Justice is also an important element of our warfare. If the ‘foundation of the throne of God is righteousness and justice’ (Ps 89:14) then the foundation of the enemy’s throne will be the opposite. The more we are on the offensive against him, even attacking the very foundation of his throne, the less he will be able to attack us.
Justice is also a garment; essential clothing in order to enter the Holy of Holies. ”Aaron bore the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgement over his heart, when he went into the Holy Place“ (Ex 28:29 Amp)
One of the things that will determine how close we can come to God in worship and our daily lives will depend on how heavy the burden of justice lays upon our hearts.
Godly justice also attempts to restore fallen individuals. This is where the justice of God and the justice of the world diverges. The justice system of the world seeks to punish and discipline those found in wrong doing. However, God’s justice system seeks to heal and restore. It calls upon the Body of Christ to come around the fallen individual, to stand for him and to lift him back up. Justice when properly applied has the ability to bestow grace and take away shame.
In truth, while justice does contain a legal element, it is so much more. In the end, it is bearing a heart-burden for your fellow man, wanting to see each individual treated properly and fairly. It is more than wining souls. It is about God’s love for people” (-Jewish Rabbi, Morning Star Journal)

In January of this year, I drove our van into the driveway, slipped it into
park, and burst into tears. They weren’t the silent tears that pool at the
corn...
